Maritime/Workshop Technician

Job description

The maritime technician will be supporting local operations to maintain, improve and operate the desalination buoys as well as executing various works at the workshop to support project operations and product improvements. More specifically:

  • Navigating by boat and conducting buoy inspections, maintenances, cleanings, repairs, improvements. (Hydraulic, mechanical parts, chains, shackles, etc.)
  • Workspace Optimizing and renovations;
  • Making different tools and assisting the team in several operations;
  • Identifying and remedying health and safety risks;

  • Desire to have a lasting impact on the future of our planet;
  • Do-it-yourselfer, technician or person who is good with his/her hands;
  • Small boat captain;
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Enterprising and autonomous person;
  • Commitment, empathy, creativity and rigor;
  • Assets:
    • Technical skills in marine operations, mechanics, hydraulics and water treatment;
    • French speaking.
